The Velodrome at Bloomer Park - Donations

The International Velodrome at Bloomer Park is a facility for all ages at all stages. A crew of dedicated volunteers run the day to day operations of the Velodrome which was paid for by private donations through the non-profit Mike Walden Velodrome Fund administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester.

The Velodrome was built by volunteers consisting of members of the cycling community, many of whom had never seen a cycling track before, came out to build the steel and wood structure. Volunteer welders, carpenters, earth movers, children, adults and senior citizens worked side-by-side, week-after-week to a grand conclusion. The Velodrome at Bloomer Park is located in Bloomer Park in the City of Rochester Hills, Michigan and is the only one of its kind in North America.

Since opening day in 2002, a dedicated crew of volunteers operate and staff the cycling programs and do the maintenance work at the velodrome. As dedicated as they are, they can not do it all with out your financial assistance.
